Off-Season Rompin Jigging and Casting
Off-season doesn’t mean poor fishing.
With a dedicated group of anglers, suitable gear, lures and jigs, fishing can still be reasonably good.
This trip we spent more time casting and jigging the local unjams (FADS) rather than the reefs.
Here are some of the highlights of the trip…
Andy with the first Tenggiri caught on a 60g Storm Gomame jig
Barry follows up with another Tenggiri using the Storm Keiryo jig rod with a 40g Storm Gomoku Micro Jig in UVSI
While the boys were jigging away, I was casting the new Storm Monstar spinning rod using Storm So-Run Heavy Minnow 110 in AJI and hooked a Tenggiri as well
Barry joined in the fun and landed a Tenggiri on the Storm So-Run Heavy Minnow 110 in SPM pattern
Hot looking and colourful goatfish takes a Storm Gomoku Micro jig 20g in Hot Candy
60g Storm Gomame Jig in Naked Flash this Coral Trout couldn’t resist
Great fight on 4lb Sufix 832 and 10lb Invisiline leader, this Ebek took a 20g Storm Gomoku Micro jig in Hot Candy
When the current picked upped, the pelagics were on the chew again
Even tuna joined the party.
The grand finale was when Siang with a good size Barracuda that hit the Storm So-Run Heavy Minnow really hard.
