Tip-Run Eging game?
Tip-Run Eging game?? This sounds very foreign to Fred but being a curious angler, he decided to check this game out with expert Eging angler , Michael Siew.
Michael explained to Fred that Tip Run Eging is catching squid from a boat instead of the standard shore Eging.
The Tip Run Egi jigs looks similar like the standard Egi jigs except they are heavier, ranging from 30 to 50g usually.
Bait casitng outfit is preferred as the feel is better and it is easier to work the Egi jig .
Technique is simple and easy, 4-5 sharp jerk of the rod to work the Egi jig off the bottom, followed by a long pause. Drop the Egi jig back to the bottom if there is no reaction from the squid and repeat.
There are so many ways of eating the catches and all are delicious.
